While it may be true that not everyone who needs a cache only server
is a pirate, I'll bet you dollars to donuts that anyone running
ISA2004 as a cache only server didn't pay for that license. And to
be honest, judging from the nature of content in many emails that
find their way here, even the people who are fully utilizing the
product don't sound as if they just laid out the bucks for their copy.
I assuming from your taking offense that you are one of (what I guess
to be) the very, very, very small minority of people who legitimately
paid for a license of ISA2004 but only use it for a caching server.
If so, then you are not guilty of piracy. You are, however, guilty
of completely wasting corporate funds.

Tom, I think your statement is offensive about stealing. Not every one who needs a cache only server is a pirate. It is what they have on hand so it's up to them if you use it or not. Thanks

Please deploy the firewall correctly. Only those who steal the software do web proxy only.

Hi all,
We are running ISA server 2004 Standard edition as a proxy. I understand
that if you try to play a media online with Windows Media Player 9 you
could get a prompt for a user and a password, but I thought that has
nothing to do with version 10.
I am working on it and gooling it, but please if some one have had this
issue before and got it fixed, let me know the fix.
Thanks a lot
