Even easier is to host the site as "friend.mydomain.com" 1. create the site in IIS and assign the host header as the name of the site "friend.mydomain.com". This allows multiple sites to coexist on a single IP/port combination 2. create a destination set that includes that name "friend.mydomain.com" with the path of "/*" 3. create a web publishing rule that allows the destination set of "friend.mydomain.com" and make sure to "pass the original host header" 4. make the appropriate DNS entries I do this for other friends and it works beautifully. It also has the side benefit of not requiring any redirection on the part of ISA or the web server. My default website is working ok, however I would like to host multiple web sites for my friends and use their names as the prefix on the FQDN (eg www.mydomain.com/friend becomes friend.mydomain.com). I have set up an 'A' record with my Internet domain registrar which passes any URL request to my domain regardless of the prefix (eg anyprefix.mydomain.com). So I'm confident that friend.mydomain.com will make it to my sever IP address. The question is: 1. How do I host multiple websites in smallbusiness server and 2. How can I use prefixes to differentiate them. I have ordered Tom & Deb Shinders ISA book but hasn't arrived yet. Any assistance would be greatly appretiated.
