Q2 - tried to run it how?
Q3 - what was the error?

    1. Remove any configurations you've already made for MSNIM
    2. get http://isatools.org/msnim.vbs
    3. exit (not just logoff) MSNIM
    4. run msnIm.vbs on the ISA Server
    5. install (refresh) the FW client on the internal host
    6. restart MSNIM

    ..bear in mind that voice and video will still not work, but that's a tale 
for another day..
