Hmmmm....... What I thought is that I will confgiure NLB on external NIc of ISA server and configure the DNS server to resolve all applications to clustered IP on ISA servers. Is that not possible??? I have never tried it though. -----Original Message----- From: David Dellanno [mailto:david@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, August 01, 2001 9:33 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Re: Fault tolerance http://www.ISAserver.org I believe that NLB for ISA was more intent for the Private Area Network and not design at this point to support the Public Area Network -----Original Message----- From: Sharma, Shobha [mailto:c-ssharma@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, August 01, 2001 9:47 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Re: Fault tolerance http://www.ISAserver.org Jim, Each ISA is configured to secure publish 2 applications using one ip. So Iam using host headers and port 80 for the first connection but secondary connections are secure connections using 443. Each web server is firewall client. I want to configure fault tolerance on extenal side of ISA using NLB but was not sure how should I do it and how should I configure our external DNS for this. Thanks Shobha -----Original Message----- From: Jim Harrison [mailto:jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, August 01, 2001 9:36 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Re: Fault tolerance http://www.ISAserver.org ISA in and of itself offers no fault tolerance for web / server publishing. You don't mention whether or not you're listening on a "per-IP" basis, so I can't say if NLB is of any use to you.
