Queensland.
Hi all,
Vision Australia staff were advised this morning that our
colleague Amanda Gilford, who had recently worked with both the
Advocacy and Client Engagement teams, passed away this morning
after recent serious illness.
Amanda was active in the blindness and low vision community in
Queensland and was a member of Vision Australia�셲 Regional
Client Committee 5 for some time.
I was fortunate enough to have her as a close colleague but for
too short a time! And she will be very much missed.
We don�셳 know any funeral details at this point, but her
husband Graeme has requested that he not receive phone calls just
now.
Our thoughts are with him and family.
As Ron Hooton rightly says:
�쏤or those of you who knew Amanda, she was a person who always
thought of others, always had a very positive outlook on life,
and was very committed to the blindness and low vision community.
Her passing will be felt by many.��
Farewell Amanda, from those who knew and loved you for however
long.
