Here is another email of interest (sent to BCA SA & Insight)

Our BCA branch over the last few years has met with the Taxi Council of SA &
made recommendations of at least 4 occasions & also persuaded Independent
taxis to create a Disability box on the internet booking process to alert
the driver we may need some assistance.

We also sent a questionnaire to all members & shopping centres in 2013 &
2014

I have collated all of these into a document & submitted it today as I am
also on the State Governments access & social inclusion plan committee & we
will be discussing the collective submissions at some stage - will keep you
posted.

Dear Register Member

Re: Taxi and Chauffeur Vehicle Industry Review

The Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) is preparing a
submission to the Taxi and Chauffeur Vehicle Industry Review being
undertaken by the South Australian Government.

We have attached above some general information about the review including
the Terms of Reference. They cover a broad range of topics which are
relevant to all passengers with the final one referring specifically to the
adequacy and cost of accessible taxis.

Disability SA is contributing to the submission and we would like your ideas
regarding:

1. How to improve the Taxi and Chauffeur industry.
2. Current and future challenges of the Taxi and Chauffeur industry.

You are invited to provide your responses to Sue Lyons by 28 October 2015.
Sue can be contacted by email at <mailto:sue.lyons@xxxxxxxxx>
