I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the Haven as well. Perhaps even a demonstration at some point? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lynne" <superlynne@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi, Rachel.
there is absolutely no question that if speech is built into the phone, you should definitely explore it. It's a bit different for me because I do want more than the menus spoken. There is so much I can do with my Ozone now, I would hate to lose that functionality.I am, of course, salivating to hold this new device in my hot little hands and give it a test run.

Last September we Verizon Wireless offered a deal on the hTC Ozone with Talks preinstalled for the very nice price of $49.99. the software proved not to be as robust as I would like and I had Gus assist me in installing the 30-day trial of Mobile Speak and have never looked back. the price is $295 but I was willing to pay it as I was keen to be able to perform functions such as e-mail, surf the web and listen to podcasts.

I hope you get a chance to demo the Samsung Haven and if it meets your needs, that will be a wonderful thing.

Regards,
Lynne

Hi, Lynne.
Since the Ozone requires Talks or Mobile Speak, doesn't that require you to pay extra for either of those programs, in addition to what you'd pay for the phone itself? My understanding is that this Samsung Haven speaks everything right out of the box. And because my two-year contract expired with my current phone, I can get the Haven for free. From what you know, is the Ozone a better phone? Is it a Verizon phone? Just wondering.
Thanks!
Rachel
