[Ilugc] startup issue with mysql daemon

Check whether there is something in log, /var/log/mysql*.
I am on Ubuntu and could set debug flag, for startup script, with
DEBIAN_SCRIPT_DEBUG. Check you can do something similar to this.

sorry, I could not find the directory "mysql" in /var/log/ and I tried to us 
/var/log/messages only but this also not much helpful.
