[Ilugc] something wrong with bsnl?

hi

got home-500 bsnl broadband. type 2 modem. plugged in modem, went to  
http://192.168.1.1, ran the wizard, chose dynamic IP, pppoe, gave  ;
username and password and everything worked. In kubuntu - didnt have  
to do anything else. weird.
