[Ilugc] root - pswd

Difficult to solve this problem.  Could be that you have configured it to 
expire every time you login.

But, before that try this.  As soon as you login for the first time, disable 
the root passwd usign #passwd -d root.  Reboot your system.  It shouldn't ask 
you for the passwd this time.  Then set your root passwd using #passwd.

Let us know how you solve the problem.

hi all,
   today after reinstalling i logged in as root into
Xwindows,was able to login successfully.....now when i
shutdown my system and tried to boot again and login
as root ...it is giving as incorrect password,whereas
the password given for root is correct.....so i
thought must be problem with installation ,

It is not required to reinstall it.  You can go into the recovery mode and 
reset the password.  BTB, which religion of linux you follow?
