Is there is any tool available to monitor the CPU heat

has given a tool to monitor the cpu heat only in the
windows environment. Any help will be appreciated.
For software controlled cooling, the 'hlt' instruction is generally used. But I
think 'hlt' is a previlaged instruction and hence can't be use in user mode
programs. So a kernel module is required. Did u check the kernel source for a
similar tool ? Maybe there is already one.
