[Ilugc] new user magesh has a problem

iam magesh, recently i to linux ubuntu...
iam using 8.04 hardy, and iam not able to play any video
though i have
install all the codecs and needed players....
i had asked question IRC but no one gave a solution
when i play a video once i see only a green colour screen
on the player
sometimes audio also(but only green screen)
when i play the video again without closing that green
colour player
screen.... the video is seen clear....
so everytime i wanted to watch any video i am double
clicking it twice( two
players appear but in only one the video is played.... i
close the other....
this is my problem.. can any one give me a solution
because iam facing this problem for 1month
1. Which movie player are you using?
2. What movie format are you trying to play?
3. What is your system configuration, especially the graphic card?
In the meantime, install VLC player.
Please give answer to these questions. I have been using Ubuntu for quite a
while and its something that gives me almost anything -- like a Kamdhenu....so
don't worry, just let me know the specs :-)
