Hi,
Looks like a problem with the authentication.
try using kppp to configure. try selecting chap as authentication method.
If I am not wrong, thats the authentication method that needs to be used.
make sure u dont select the option to bring up terminal window after or
before connecting.

hello .
i have a problem in connecting the modem
intially i was getting the "line is busy error.."
so i make a new interface with the number to be dialied as different number
this time i was able to move one step ahead ..i.e, till "verifying the user
name and passwd.."
but failed saying pppd error..
the last few lines (while using the debug from the ppp connection
configuration)
Carrier detected. Waiting for prompt.

what does this pppd do..?
