its not about the CPU. Its about getting the kernel busy and making
the system unusable. If you can type 'top' that itself means the bomb
is ineffective. and if you have a reasonable ulimit set, the sysadmin
would obviously come to the rescue and slay the user's processes.

I dont know if you have read other security HOWTOs, but if you did, it
would have told you that 100% security is a myth. You can only make
the life of the malicious user difficult.
pre-computers days? thats is getting far far beyond the point. :)
