[Ilugc] Unable to mount USB floopy

HI all, 

How to access all USB floopy in Linux. Kernel I am ising is linux-2.6.12

My SCSI is loaded

/etc/fstab is 

/dev/sda    /mnt/usbfd       auto            noauto,user 0   0

when I say

mount /dev/sda /mnt

I get 

"mount: you must specify the filesystem type"

Also my "fdisk /dev/sda "  says

"Unabel to opewn /dev/hda"

Kindly shoot whats happening?
