[Ilugc] Ubuntu 8.04 on Dell

I am unable to install Ubuntu 8.04 on my Dell Latitude 630.
The cd is fine and I have seen others install Ubuntu
successfully using it.
Has anyone else faced/facing this problem?

What is the error message you get? Can you run the Live CD? Have you checked
the media for errors? What is the stage where Ubuntu stops on the laptop?
