[Ilugc] Thunderbird - memory hungry

Hi,
yesterday.. firefox was taking all my CPU and ram, i think its because
of opening a specific site... but the browser should have a feature
which restricts it from going into a deadlock noo...
I find that when gmail is open, and it is trying to load something, or
it is refreshing the main inbox page, firefox takes up a steady 10 to
20% CPU. This seems to be noticeable only when the connection goes
down half way through the refresh and the refresh does not complete -
and hence the browser gets stuck permanently trying to refresh.
Perhaps its polling the socket or something during the XMLHTTP call?
Usually pressing the stop button and refreshing manually fixes the
problem... Its not too serious a problem considering that only 10 to
20% CPU is used up... atleast not much for a desktop user...
