Hi!
I use Emacs from CVS (last built today). Just tried typing in tamil
using the tamil-itrans input method of quail with font -tharagai-tscu
paranar-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-1. Unfortunately there
seems to be problems with the rendering - the modifiers get printed
after the main characters - I have seen this problem with app not
properly written for indic support (like Firefox without pango). Is
there any way to fix this? And is this a problem generally with
non-pango apps?
As a side-note, is there any font with tamil support which is fixed
atleast for the english characters? Fixed fonts look great on Emacs,
but choosing a tamil font means I would have to go for variable
widths...
