Why don't you try IndiMail or at least test it. In all our tests in my
current organization (> 1.5 million messages per day per box) and
earlier when working in one of India's largest private ISP, IndiMail
performs many times faster than postfix and qmail.

It should include pop/imap/web interface
shared calender, tasks, reminders etc.
IndiMail does not have shared calender, tasks, reminders. There are many
open source alternatives available (Darwin's webcal server, etc). But is
there a possibility that folks from ilugc can collaborate and create
something?
Want to migrate a company from MS exchange.
The users use MS outlook and they should feel comfortable with the
new mail server.
IndiMail has a feature called user-location aware. It allows any
organization to migrate out of Exchange, Lotus Notes without disrupting
existing users. The user-location aware property allows IndiMail to put
another box with the same domain and have new users on the new box and
older user remain on the old proprietary box. It takes care of
distributing mails to the correct box. It also takes care of redirecting
outlook and other mail clients correctly to the correct box. In my
earlier job at an ISP, we migrated seamlessly many corporate out of
exchange to a linux solution without the end users noticing anything.
IndiMail comes with lot of modern features. Recent example is Bounce
Address Tag Validation. Indimail is one of the very few mailserver
supporting it.
