tutorial to them -- which is really bad, IMO. Forcing people to do
things also doesn't work, but, one can motivate or inspire people to
do things.

erm. I would call that coercing ;) of course there is an else clause
with unreasonable (to the coerced) stuff in it.....

alternatively anti marketing of their current practices. y'know the
"Lalita Pawar" veriety. (mattupoN uDiattal vengalam mamiar uDaittal
maNkalam type). Many time this is effective.
