Hello friends!
I am using ACER-Aspire 1640, Open Suse 10.2.
Sound was working well but Yester day while working the system
i have used hibernate. After reloading the system, sound not works for me.
Everythings looks normal....
My kmix have full 100% volume ....
Alsamix have 100% volume.
If i play songs with mplayer , it simply runs the song without sound (seconds
for the songs are running)...
To diagnosis this problem i have done the following things,
1.) I have repeated alsaconf... but no response...
2.) I have tried to boot using ACPI=off (from some forums )
But, disabling ACPI stops my network.. And also while using alsaconf
it gives the following error
"alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for default: No such device"
(But after disabling ACPI, i can hear the Beep sounds in console.)
So, i think no use for disabling ACPI.
3.) Also tried with APCI off but no use..
Is there anyway to solve this problem? Pls give suggestions... I am in urge to
solve this problem.( i have to do some audio conference).
