I also faced similar problem with Sify, some years ago and
I dont think its
because of virus, the Sify client sends some information
about the OS to the
server. There in the server side they have an option to
enable the clients
to connect from windows by default, only if asked they will
enable the
Linux , may be it sounds crazy but thats what i
experienced. if you change
the Linux distro again this enabling thing has to be done.
may be talk about
this stuff to someone in the customer care. may be try this
cheap trick,
connect to the server using windows client, remove the
cable reboot to linux
and try browsing.
