[Ilugc] Shift +Space != Space

 Sorry for the delay. Was out whole day.

 I dunno why it works in the gdm login screen. Perhaps you are hitting
 some bug.

 If just space does not work then it is a big problem. I had that issue,
 that is why I added a mapping for space as well. Did you give all three
 mappings ?


Ok, so I finally fixed it. Apparently some SCIM tool or something was
setting Shift+Space and Ctrl+Space as a keyboard shortcut (for
something that I still haven't understood). Getting rid of that
shortcut from System->Preferences->SCIM Input Method Preferences fixes
it.
