You have to try it from an "IP" *outside* of your LAN. Ask some of your
colleagues/friends to access your WAN IP from their systems.
Accessing your WAN "IP" from within your LAN will exhibit the behaviour
your are experiencing.
No I still get the same result even if I access it from some internet
cafe[I don't know what connection they have]. I think that if the
requesting IP also belongs to BSNL, they are getting blocked by the
authorization page. That's exactly why those proxies work in this case
!!
BTW, I hope you have disabled your modem configuration on the WAN.
