No sane server will accept mails from unresolvable servers.
You will require a valid forward & reverse lookup if you need to send
mails to internet.
forward lookup is usually sufficient. this very mailing list does not have
reverse lookup on its server but it works. because of partly technical and
partly administrative reasons, many providers in this part of the world are
not in a position to provide reverse lookup. also, you can send mail out
without working forward lookups also (at least for some time) using your isp's
mail relay host. but what would be the point? if you dont have working forward
lookup, people cant send mail to that address. why would you use a mail
address to which people cant reply (unless you are spamming)?
