[Ilugc] SCIM not working

I want  to  give input  using  tamil  keyboard 
layout in any application.

scim 1.4.4  and
PCLinuxOS 0.92

while i start scim ,it comes in my panel . I can
able to configure it (using
right click) and can select tamil language.

If i left click the  scim icon  it has to be  list 
the  selected  language
keyboard layouts.  (for  me  it shows nothing)

If it list the keyboard layouts , i can select it
and use that keyboard
layout in any application.

Hi parthan i have created it but nothing happen. I
think u faced this same
problem on our meet.

How u solved it? pls send the steps u have tried.

Can some good samaritan come forward and write a
simple, down to earth Howto on enabling and using
Tamil input and fonts in linux? 

I have been wanting to enter Tamil for quite some time
now. 

Please help as I am lost!
