well, the problem is in your naming. AS is RHEL in one of its flavours,
the others being ES and WS (and desktop, if you want to include that). the
ws or workstation version does not provide some of the server packages.
the es and as versions differ only in hardware support. so, unless you
have more than 2 cpus, 16 gb ram or an s390, there is no difference
between es and as flavours (well, support options are also different). the
differences are between the 2.1 version and 4.0 version, not between es
and as.
