Well, excuse me for using Hindi. I know it is not the lingua franca in
these parts. It was just a poor attempt to pun the movie titled, "Raju
ban gaya gentleman".
Anyway the FreeBSD install demo started off as a disaster bcoz I
didn't realize the simple fact that ppl won't follow what you are
talking if you don't tell them why you are talking that. :-)
Stupid me! But it is never late to learn. It was a good experience
though as none of the problems that affected the presentation were big
ones , notably the lack of Internet connection, not giving sufficient
notice to ppl and not having a slide projector.
I think a slide projector would have helped but since Saravanan came
forward with such a quick response to freely share his facilities and
Raja agreeing to bring his laptop readily, I really don't think I have
any right to complain.
I got much much more help than I could ever expect. Many thanks to lug
for that.
I think none of us can thank Raja enough for the excellent run down he
gave on the difference between BSDs, on OpenBSD in particular and also
pf .
Most notable was his anecdotal narratives about the bleeding edge
stuff, how he solved certain problems for clients etc.
Truly enlightening.

Girish
