Use 'Reply-All'/'Reply-to-all' instead of 'Reply'.
If you can't see this option by default in Gmail, you can access it by
clicking the 'More Options' link at the top right.

was decided that the current system is best. Search the archives.
This is best???....Well, this method is very confusing and not all the time
we remember this. All other mailing lists do not have this option set by
default.
