Hi,
Thanks for your reply. But problem is not yet resolved. I tried to mount the
filesystem using livecd.
mount -t ext3 /dev/sda2 /usr/local/tmp
it failed with this message
mount: wrong fstype, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda2
missing codepage or other error
I tried
fsck -t ext3 /dev/sda2
that also failed with this message
Couldn't find ext2 superblock, trying backup blocks..
/sbin/e2fsck: Bad magic number in superblock while trying to open /dev/sda2.
here is the information given by parted
parted /dev/sda print
Disk geometry for /dev/sda: 0.000-76319.085 megabytes
Disk label type: msdos
Minor Start End Type Filesystem Flags
1 0.031 101.975 primary ext3 boot
2 101.975 76316.594 primary lvm
Information: Don't forget to update /etc/fstab, if necessary.
Any idea what all these signify?
Regards.
