Hi,
I had a p4 system running on CentOS 4 (kernel - 2.6.9-11). Till yesterday it
was running okay. But today while booting it was directly taking me to grub
rompt. From prompt, I tried to boot by 'boot' command. It failed with this
error message
Error 16: Inconsistent filesystem structure.
After some googling I've found that this error is returned by filesystem
code to denote an internal error caused by the sanity checks of the
filesystem structure on disk not matching what it expects. So now my
question is does that mean my hard disk is gone! If so is there any way to
get back my data? btw my 80gb disk was partitioned as LVM.
Please help me in this regard.
