hi
i am trying to set up internet connection thru BSNL's new ZTE EVDO CDMA Tech
Modem (USB data card). i am using Mandriva 2007 (kernel 2.6.22-9)
the probelm is that when i see in network centre in control centre, it lists
the device but with configure and connect option disabled. also in hardware
detection, its shows unknown Module...there is no usbserial module ..i tried to
find out usbserial module/rpm for mandriva2007 but cud not get one..# insmod
usbserial , also fails.
tail -f var/log/messages , reports errors instead--there is no listing of usb
port to which this usb modem is attached.
please tell me how to resolve this issue
