Offtopic: but why would anyone want to buy any Thinkpad product in India
since Lenovo offers criminally bad deals in India (hint: check their US
site. Or were you considering buying from the US in the first place?)
Other companies such as Dell, HP etc offer much better notebooks in India
at a price point lower than Lenovo's Thinkpad. At a lower price than a
R60, you can get a AMD Turion X2 machine with WIFI, DVD Writer, 512MB RAM
etc from Dell and the Dell Inspiron 1501's WiFi does work with Linux
Kernel 2.6.20-12 with NDISWrapper.
