This is something I was about to say, but Shrini raced ahead
:) We find a lot of people posting questions on the list in their
effort to help their friends with FOSS related software/OS. But what
they don't realise is, when they post their friends questions/issues,
they get the solutions and try it/implement it in their friends'
computers. The problem does get solved. But what's missing is, their
friends never get to know how the solution was arrived at, and all the
thought process that went into it.
If you could request you friend to join the list, hs/she would
definitely learn a lot more from the day to day activities/mails in
the list. And may be, in due course can become an active FOSS
contributor as well :) So please invite/persuade them to join the
list. Thanks
