[Ilugc] Mandriva LE 2005 - kppp hangs on initializing modem

When I posted this KPPP problem few days back to
ilugc, someone wrote
that he too had similar problem. For his information,
I am reproducting

You might be right. I checked KPPP configuration as
user and found all the
coloumns in the
modem commands box were empty. So I launched KPPP as
root and copied all the
contents in the modem commands box. Now when I launch
KPPP as user it is
working
fine. I did not have this problem when I was using
Mandrake 10.1.

to solve this problem.

Any solution from Luggies?
