Just now I installed ubuntu successfully.
Thanks for aanjan. I got a CD burned by him at IITM last saturday.
Previously i got some installation problem.
As one of my partition got some problems, it failed.
After removed the partition and repartitioning, it installed smoothly.
Thanks for buvan for his valuable suggestions on partitions.
and it looks nice.
I have a doubt.
I download a lot of packages from net by synaptec.
As i give the ubuntu cd for my friends, who do not have net connection.
Is there anyway to copy those packages from my pc to them?
In synaptec, i choosed the option not to delete the files after downloading.
where will they be? ccan i use them for other systems?
