Do you run KDE/GNOME or a lighter WM like IceWM?
Also, do you think Etch will run as well as Sarge does on such a
system? I am wary because Etch has all updated software which make it
a little more desktop hungry for desktop usage.
Anyway, I can assure you that I have used Sarge on a worse system (64
MB RAM) with IceWM and it works pretty well.
