I dont find any drastic diff between FC3 & FC4

Infact Xine & Mplayer other multimedia appliactions
are not working properly on FC4
which worked on FC3(I downloaded rpms for FC4)

If you are compiling from source code several programs would require 
code fixes to work with GCC 4. However RPMS from 
http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/4/ should work fine.

As root user,

rpm -ivh 
http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/4/i386/RPMS.lvn/livna-release-4-0.lvn.2.4.noarch.rpm

yum install totem-xine mplayer
