Why do you have to reset the password? Can't you create a fetchmailrc for
each and every user with each user's individual password
I have migrated users out of Lotus notes by putting a proxy imap / proxy
pop3 in front of your lotus notes and capture the password. You can use
indimail for doing that

IndiMail initially started with migrating users out of Lotus Notes and
exchange to a qmail based system and comes with proxies for imap, pop3 and
smtp
