conducted by Computer Society, MIT, Anna University - CARTE
BLANCHE 08.
Tomorrw, March 2nd, Sunday will be a very entertaining and
useful day for all FOSS fans.

The highlight of the day will be the CD release of
'SWATANTARA LINUX' and various DEMOS and PROJECTS.
Kindly grace the event with your presence and spread the
message.
This year's carte blanche event at MIT was held sucessfully - though the
attendance was thin.
The highlights were
a.About 90 visually handicapped students and adults turned up. Elcot
staff did a great job in making them understand what a computer
is and demonstarted orca software for them. ILUGC members who did
not attend missed the golden chance of seeing FOSS in the hands of visually
handicapped.
b.About 200 school students turned up (below 10th std). Older boys
demonstrated how to use openoffice to their schoolmates. Gcompris
was shown on projected screen and the students enthusiastically went
the the educational activities in it. They had a nice with games
also.
