Hi!
I tried booting linux (both Fedora core 3 & 4) on a 915 chipset and found
that it doesn't detect the hard drive.Later I found that Intel has
recalled some of the shipments of 915 motherboards.Has anyone done the
installation successfully.??
I tried FC3 recently on the same motherboard which I brought
recently. I had no probs. Why? Is your hard-disk a SATA one or the ATA
one. Mine was a 120GB SATA. Debian installation requires you to have
the linux 2.6 kernel. But FC3, I never knew what it did (Rather I
didn't care.. I could have found out easily though.) But now I have
debian. I know two of my other friends who brought the same
motherboard some time ago had installed FC3 without any hassles.
