I believe the ATI Rage family is well supported. A few points to
note:
1. Make sure you are using Xfree86 4.x. Avoid the older 3.3.x
version.
2. Wipe out your older XFree86 server related packages (including
the config files) and re-install them.
3. I usually let debconf handle the configuration and it does a
fairly good job.

hello friend,
i increase the swap memory 900MB, the
installer stops at the same point, please give some
other tips.
any one help me to install the oracle in linux,while i
start the installation, the m/c gives.
Instializing Java Runtime Environment.... plese wait...
then the machine stops the installation.i have the swap
size is 900MB, and 512MB RAM, 3GB hard disk space,
please help me,
