Use the zoom center, click the 'P' in the lower right.
Just type the X Y and hit Pick

Something I've found handy is to ADD CIRCLE, then go down to the command
line and type in your desired coordinates (e.g. x 1500 y 2000) and the
circle will close around that point. Be sure to delete the circle
afterwards. Hope this helps.
