There is also an ascii text editor called TextPad available that will allow you 
to turn on the line numbers so you see them all the time.
This is a great little editor since it also allows Blocking of groups of text 
and sorting with the lines sorting and not just the selected text.

Thanks, I loaded notepad++ and i was able to read in ASC file. I removed the 
line at location 29592 and the board translated into Cadence. Thanks a bunch.

use Notepad++ so you can go to the wanted line. Since i discorver this

editor, wordpad and note pas are not used any more...
