I would say since the first thing it does is uprev the database and they went to an “object oriented database” for 16.0 there is not going back, unless Cadence writes a downrev script.

Thanks, I see it in 15.7 to other 15.x but I am hoping that it is also in 16.0 to 15.x? or is it a major release and there is no going back?

Ok, so in 15.5.7, I can go:

File -> Export -> Save design to 15.0…

or

File -> Export -> Save design to 15.2…

Do you see this option in File -> Export? This might only work within a major release.

 Thank you. I was actually looking to find out if once a board is in version 16.0 whether or not it can be opened in 15.7 and worked on by someone else.
