Okay. Now that's getting even more weird. So, the fact that you can open it
on one would say it's not the machine, but rather something on the computer
that is causing this to occur. If the hard drive were bad, you'd get it on
both, right?
Have you made any recent changes on the PC that it doesn't work on?

The problem is at the computer. I have two drives, each with the same OS. One
will let me open the
hard drive and the other won't.
In as much as I'm in the disk drive mode on the PDA, all messages come from the
computer.

I discovered where the problem was after I posted my original message. I
posted the facts that I have just
outlined later.
There are many problems with the drive which wants to format the HD in the PDA.
Chkdsk says that it
repairs them, but when I run it again, the same errors are still there. I do
not remember what those
errors were.
I can tell you that this drive is very slow to boot. When I have time, I'll
scan it for malware.
