[icon-discuss] Re: External stereo microphone discovery: A Follow-up

Hello Again Fellow Listers:

Okay, as the subject line clearly states, this is a follow-up to my previous
posting on this subject. After further testing, come to find out, my Icon
unit is not honoring the internal / external microphone parameter setting at
all. My Icon states that "...the settings have been saved", and I even
restarted the unit after saving my recording settings, but the Icon is still
using its internal microphone when making recordings.

We are talking about the use of the stock microphone which comes with the
Olympus DS50, correct? I now have some vague memory of the Olympus
DS30-40-50 series being furnished with some "standard" Olympus stereo
microphone, with the 51S or 5S being available as an upgrade. I'm going to
look at the accessories list in my Olympus manual, assuming I can find it on
this computer.

John
