Thanks I'll take a look, but I'm confused...I thought Android was something like C++ or Python? A language on its own? What you're saying is there are several different languages for programming for the Android Operating system. In so saying, will the Orion basically be like a windows computer, being able to run applications created by any language that is developed/compatible with the Android system as well as the Orion machine?
Is there one program that is the most common? Like C++ is for windows? Brandon, I just had a quick peek at Bookshare, and there are a number of books on Android and Android application development. Please keep in mind that Android is an operating system, just like Windows .... There are several programming languages that can be used to develop Android apps. Having said that, I will leave the topic to Pratik, and a few others that have much more knowledge on the subject of Android application development and the Android SDK itself that runs on Windows. As for a target machine for your Android development explorations, how about.... (In anotherwords how difficult is Android?) Second, what is the best place for a blindperson to get started learning about the Android language? Third, what kind of programs and devices would you recommend using while learning how to write in Android? I understand that Levelstar cannot say anything at present about the Orion's general android components and I will drop the thread. Beth-- Email services provided by the System Access Mobile Network.
