Arpad,

That the way I would have done it in the beginning, but there are models out
there using (Default. This is one of the few places where the usage of Value
and Default is strictly enforced by the Parser.

So we need to somehow express that Value is preferred, but that Default will
be tolerated.

Subject: [ibis-macro] Question on Value/Default BIRD

Walter,

I want to ask a question about this BIRD.

My understanding of the Reserved parameters is that they
tell the EDA tool some information about the model. For
example,

| Init_Returns_Impulse, Use_Init_Output, GetWave_Exists,
| Max_Init_Aggressors and Ignore_Bits

are all parameters which provide information about what
the model contains or does, or conditions at which the
model should be operated at. Is the user of the tool and
the model expected to change the values of any of these
parameters? I don't expect that this would make sense...

In that case, why should we allow Default at all? I don't
see that there would ever be a choice to make with these
parameters. Shouldn't this BIRD simply replace the Default
with Value instead of allow both?

Thanks,

Arpad
