Hello everyone,
My AR from the last meeting was to come up with a
proposal on how to modify the IBIS EBD syntax to
cover the needs we are trying to address in EMD.
The attachment is the beginning of this work. The
first few pages are excerpts from the EBD section
of the IBIS v4.2 specification. I basically copied
all the examples from the IBIS specification into
this document to get an overview of what EBD can do.
The next section is Walter's "free form" idea which
we discussed recently in the IBIS-ATM teleconference.
The last page is Walter's "free form" idea side by side
with fragments of the EBD example to illustrate the
resemblances.
This is how far I got today, and my next steps will be
the modifications to the EBD syntax to cover what we
would like to see in this new specification. I am
not sure we will have time to discuss this today, but
I thought I would send this out anyway, in case we will.
Comments and suggestions are appreciated, even if they
come in the form of email.
